Our Collaborators

Co-Creator of EHVP
Barbara Rothbaum, Ph.D., ABPP
As long time collaborators, we have explored new PTSD interventions and worked to figure out how prolonged exposure therapy works and how to make it work better for more people.

Multi-site Research Team
Spindle Research Group
The combined efforts of the labs of Drs. Minden Sexton, RaeAnn Anderson, Margaret Davis, Danielle Pigot, Chelsea Cawood, Jessica Shubert, Emily Weiss, Jennifer Loya, and Sheila Rauch address sexual violence, trauma, and PTSD.

Implementation Science
Rebecca Sripada, Ph.D., ABPP
Over many years of collaboration, we discover ways to move evidence based PTSD interventions into practice and make them work better for more people.

Global Implementation
Duane Booysen, Ph.D.
Working with Dr. Booysen's team, we examine implementation of interventions for PTSD and trauma in middle and low income countries.

PTSD Clinical Trials
Ron Acierno, Ph.D.
Over many years of collaboration, we have led multiple PTSD focused clinical trials to establish effectiveness and efficacy.

Chronic Pain and Fibromyalgia
Anna Woodbury, M.D.
Chronic pain and emotional pain are overlapping syndromes with complex neurobiological mechanisms. Examining interventions to effectively address chronic physical pain in those with mental health concerns can provide exponential benefits to patients with both concerns.

Combined PE and Brain Modulation
Melba Hernandez-Tejada, Ph.D.
Prolonged exposure effectively reduces PTSD and certain brain modulation techniques may speed those benefits. Together we are examining transcranial direct current stimulation as a treatment for pain and potential way to speed change with PE.

Sexual Violence Prevention and Recovery
RaeAnn Anderson, Ph.D.
Sexual violence impacts everyone and Dr. Anderson leads efforts to prevent all forms of sexual violence and address the impacts for survivors.

Trauma Impact and PTSD Treatment
Diana Bennett, Ph.D.
Dr. Bennett has collaborated with the lab examining the impacts of trauma on diverse populations and how to best provide effective PTSD treatment.

PTSD Treatment
Peter Grau, Ph.D.
Dr. Grau collaborates with the lab on projects involving PTSD and its treatment with previous work on intervention development, implementation, and symptomatology.

Exposure Implementation
Keith Cox, Ph.D.
Dr. Cox collaborates with the lab examining how to best use exposure in clinical practice to address PTSD anxiety disorders and related issues. Collaborations have included working to better market exposure therapy and examining functional outcomes in exposure therapy.

Global Implementation and Dissemination
Hanna Dimbodius, Lic. Psychologist, M.Sc
Dr. Dimbodius trains various mental health providers in effective treatment fror PTSD including Prolonged Exposure Therapy. Our collaboration focuses on her work training providers in Africa.

Cannabinoids and PTSD
Christine Rabinak, Ph.D.
In her work, Dr. Rabinak has shown that THC augments extinction retention in healthy controls and those with PTSD compared to placebo. Now, we are examining its use to augment massed PE.

PTSD Treatment and Training
Peter Tuerk, Ph.D.
Our collaboration focuses on getting PTSD treatments out to the people who can benefit and training providers in effective interventions for PTSD and anxiety disorders.

PTSD & OCD
Stephanie Haft, Ph.D.

Cannabinoids and PTSD
Leslie Lundahl, Ph.D.
Following up on the study using dronabinol augmentation of PE, we are examining several strains of smoked cannabis to augment massed PE.

PTSD and SUD Clinical Trials
Sonya Norman, Ph.D.
We are partnering with the PREVAIL team to get effective PTSD interventions to those with alcohol and substance use disorders.

Implementation Science and PTSD Clinical Trials
Shannon Kehle-Forbes, Ph.D.
We are partnering with the PREVAIL team to get effective PTSD interventions to those with alcohol and substance use disorders.

Integrated Care
Jeffrey Cigrang, Ph.D.
Dr. Cigrang co-led development of Processing Emotions in Primary Care (PE-PC), a brief and effective PTSD intervention designed for use in primary care and other integrated medical settings.
