Testing Adaptive Interventions to Improve PTSD Treatment Outcomes in Federally Qualified Health Cent
Project type
Clinical Trial
Date
2021-2016
Location
Emory University SOM with University of Michigan
Led by Dr. Sripada at the University of Michigan, this study establishes the effectiveness of an adaptive, stepped-care intervention for PTSD that will have the greatest impact on patients’ lives and functioning, using a Sequential, Multiple Assignment, Randomized Trial (SMART) design with two-stage randomization. Our central hypothesis is that beginning with a low- or medium-intensity PTSD intervention and then stepping up to a higher-intensity intervention for slow treatment responders will result in clinically significant PTSD symptom reduction.
